The Area
The towns Albury and Wodonga, whilst 7 km apart and on opposite sides of the Murray River, form a large urban area that borders NSW and Victoria. On the main transport corridor between Sydney and Melbourne, the towns are a strategic hub for business, commerce, transport, health and education.
Major towns in the Murray Valley include Albury and Wodonga, straddling the NSW/Victoria border. Murray Valley also includes the shires of Hume, Indigo, and Towong. Within 100 kilometers of Albury-Wodonga, there is a population of some 192,920.
